Working on older Ladue houses
Older houses were built differently and they fail differently. Steeper pitches, plank decking instead of sheeting, original slate or tile on some, and detailing at the eaves and rakes that is worth keeping. A tear-off on a house like that is not the same job as a 2004 subdivision roof, and pricing it as though it were is how people end up with damaged trim and a roofline that no longer looks right.
