Common questions
A limb came through the roof. What happens first?
We get it dried in so the inside of the house stops taking water, then we scope the actual repair. Emergency tarping and the permanent fix are two separate steps and we do not rush the second one to make the first look finished.
Do gutter guards help on a wooded lot?
They help with leaves and do very little for needles and seed pods, which is most of what clogs gutters here. They are worth it on some properties and a waste on others.
Do I need to cut my trees down to protect the roof?
Usually not. Trimming back limbs that overhang or touch the roof solves most of it. The goal is to stop the abrasion and let the slope dry out, not to clear the lot.
