Two kinds of roofs, two kinds of work
Pacific does not have one housing type, so we do not have one answer. On the older properties the work is usually careful: flashing, valleys, chimney details, and repairs that respect how the house was built. On the newer subdivision houses it is more often storm assessment, insurance claim help and eventual roof replacement when the original builder-grade shingle gives out.
What does not change is that we get on the roof before we quote it. You cannot tell the difference between a roof with five years left and a roof with fifteen from a satellite image or the end of a driveway, and a quote built that way is a guess.

It depends on whether the shingle field still has life in it. If the failure is isolated to flashing, a valley or a few courses, a roof repair is the right call. If the shingles are brittle and shedding across the whole roof, patching it is throwing money at it. We will tell you which one you have.
Is the inspection really free?
